The Mercedes “Little G” EV
(also called the Baby G-Class EV) is Mercedes’ answer to the growing demand for
smaller, more efficient electric luxury SUVs without compromising on off-road
heritage. Expected to launch around 2026, this EV carries the iconic
boxy design of the classic G-Wagon but in a more compact and urban-friendly
form.
Under the hood, it’s powered by single-motor
RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations, delivering an estimated 330–430
horsepower and 0–60 mph in under 5 seconds. Built on the Mercedes
Modular Architecture (MMA), it offers a 90 kWh battery pack with up
to 350 miles of range (WLTP) and ultra-fast DC charging capability (200
kW), adding up to 200 miles in just 20 minutes.
Inside, the Little G EV is equipped
with the latest MBUX infotainment system, a 12–13” OLED touchscreen,
wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, OTA updates, and optional Burmester
premium audio. Safety is top-tier with adaptive cruise control, lane
assist, blind-spot monitoring, 360° cameras, and automatic emergency braking.
Positioned below the full-size EQG
(electric G-Class), the Baby G offers the ruggedness of a G-Wagon in a more
affordable, efficient, and city-friendly package—making it an attractive option
for younger buyers and EV-first luxury customers.
